About the Project
Our team is engaged in many exciting enterprise website redesign projects for recurring high-profile clients as well as new. As a Senior Backend Developer specializing in both Drupal and WordPress, you’ll play a key role in shaping the architecture and functionality of these enterprise websites. You’ll collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver innovative digital experiences, applying strategy, creativity, and technology to transform complex functional requirements into seamless, engaging, and impactful websites.
Requirements
Backend Development Experience
- Strong proficiency in both Drupal and WordPress custom development
- Experience with importing/exporting Drupal configuration
- Experience with WordPress configuration management and ACF
- Experience with API integrations
- Strong knowledge of Git workflow, including pull requests, code reviews and branching strategies
- Experience with local development environments such as DDEV or Lando
- Familiarity with deployments on Pantheon and Acquia Cloud
- Proficiency in the LAMP stack
- Experience with Twig (preferred)
- Experience with content migrations (preferred)
- Degree in Computer Science or related discipline (preferred)
Additional Skills
- Experience working in an agile process with sprints in Jira
- Proficient in written and verbal English for seamless communication with US-based customers

Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing robust backend architectures for Drupal and WordPress platforms.
- Developing and maintaining custom backend functionalities and integrations to meet project requirements.
- Handling content migrations, configuration management, and API integrations to ensure smooth data flow and system interoperability.
- Collaborating with front-end developers and other team members to ensure seamless integration between backend systems and user-facing components.
- Participating in planning sessions and providing innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
- Ensuring high performance, scalability, and security of backend systems to support enterprise-level applications.
